Several Past & Present Eagles have been in the news:

Dr. Ed Bennett was appointed as the principal of Alice Buffett Magnet Middle School.  The Rev. J. Scott Barker (’82) was celebrated.  The boys varsity track team was recognized for winning another team state championship.  Ted Lampkin (’11) was honored as the 2011 Nebraska high school male athlete of the year and Nebraska Black Sports Hall of Fame’s Athlete of the Week.  Elizabeth DeLaittre (’11) was selected to the Omaha World-Herald’s 2011 All State Academic Team and 2011 All Metro Academic First Team.  The CHS math team placed 16th nationally in the 2011 Collaborative Problem Solving contest.  David (DJ) Jones (’06) has joined the Miami Dolphins team roster.

Kelly Means and Colleen Lenners were awarded BEST (Belong, Excel, Study and Travel) awards at the Nebraska Career Education Conference.
