Why Support?
The Central High Alumni Association is a volunteer organization, dedicated to keeping the Eagle Spirit alive and well. Through the generous support of its donors the Alumni Association continues its mission of “keeping Central central”.
Current Projects of the Alumni Association Include:
- Preserving the Past for the Future, which is the mission of History committee. This committee is working to scan in documents such as The Register, dating back as far as 1886. This devoted committee has organized and built 3 history cases, housed in the Courtyard.
- Hall of Fame is a time-honored tradition of honoring Central alumni, teachers or boosters for their distinguished accomplishments or contributions to Central High School. Currently there are 89 members in the Hall of Fame. The committee for this program is tasked with collecting and reviewing nominations and the selected recipients are honored in the fall with a banquet at Central High School.
- Reunions are scheduled every year and the Alumni Association is critical to their success. The Alumni Association collects data for all Central graduates and assists reunion committees with their reunion planning including providing a Reunion chair person and volunteers at select reunion events.
- Newsletters & Communication is a key focus of the Alumni Association. In the past the Alumni Association mailed newsletters to its alumni base; now communication is done electronically via e-mailed newsletters and through its new web site.
These projects are possible through the support Central High Alumni. In order for the Alumni Association to continue to keep the Central family connected it needs your support. Monetary support, your ideas, volunteering or taking a leadership role are all ways that you can contribute to the continued success of the Central High Alumni Association.
